The new Cable car Presena holding 8 people and with external ski racks is surely the pride and joy of this avant-garde winter mobility system.
Opened on the 9th of April2016 by the President of the society Giacinto Delpero who followed day by day the construction process, the cable car replaces the old chair-lift and the two ski lifts which arrived just below the ridge. The cable car allows a better fruition of the glacier, both in summer and in winter, enabling everybody the possibility of reaching Passo Presena even if they are not skiers.
Departure from Passo Paradiso (2,585m) and a new intermediate station at 2,724m, where there is a new mountain refuge Capanna Presena, and the terrace overlooking Pian di neve, Lobbie, Mandrone and Presanella.The journey time in the new cable car is just 7 minutes which means that it is possible to arrive to the top of the glacier in 12 minutes leaving from Passo Tonale and in 27 minutes from Ponte di Legno (The Pontedi Legno-Tonale cable car, followed by the Paradiso cable car and finally the Presena cable car.
